It's been awhile. I've been busy with work, holiday events, celebrating life and sleeping when I can. Sometimes blogging ends up having to take a back seat, and to me that is just sad. It's always been such a wonderful outlet for me and my place to connect with all of you kindred spirits.
So how have you all been? I bet you have buzzing with all of the holiday hoopla. I love me a little DIY and am always searching for inspiration. Here are two really inexpensive and EASY ideas that you can easily re-create...did I mention easy?! That is always a plus in my book.
Burlap does wonders wrapped around plain white chairs - I like a bit of length draping down. A few white candles and twinkling lights later and you have a cozy rustic vibe happening. Switching out the candles and florals depending on what season it is makes this a versatile look. Try a wide striped ribbon for a nautical or preppy theme.
Don't have time or money to order expensive florals? Group small vintage bottles together with a single stem or two - wrap bottles together with twine or rope for interest. You could get the same look with mason jars or even empty wine bottles. Changing out florals to fit the season, occasion will change the look. Try dipping 1/4 of the bottom of small clear vases or wine bottles into gold leaf paint for a fun look.
Do you have any easy and inexpensive DIY tips for entertaining or décor that you use? We'd love to hear them! Remember to always think outside the box!
Sending light and love - Deb xoxo
